The Headlines:
In the role of Sr. Supply Manager – POS Merch working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Procurement team. The Sr. Supply Manager will be responsible for key activites across several initiatives that require close collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams. These responsibilities include, but are not liminted to, developing and executing category strategies, overseeing our POS consolidation warehouses in the US and Canada, sourcing for our Latin America stakeholders, and managing the distributor repack program. You will use category management principles including spend analysis, e-autions on large programs, 3 bid quoting process, contract management, cost negotiations and supplier management.
This position reports to the Category Manager – POS Merch.
The Responsibilities:
- Participate in regular business reviews with our warehouse and fulfillment providers
- Address any freight and/or logistics issues that arise and provide support or issue resolution as needed for projects/orders processed by our warehouse and fulfillment providers
- Explore other savings opportunities in the POS warehouse, fulfillment, freight category
- Develop and execute strategies for complex POS & Merch categories
- Identify, capture and appropriately calculate cost savings
- Responsible for assessing and managing category risks and opportunities
- Lead cost negotiations and support the successful sourcing of retail programming and merchandise to support Latin America stakeholders.
- Assist Latin America in obtaining commercial invoices and importing items into countries
- Lead the cross-collaboration between Material Planning and MCX for the distributor repack program ensuring clear communications of updated PINs, brand promotional periods and out of stock risks.
- Understand brand initiatives and communicate new items, artwork changes, and discontinued SKUs to MCX.
- Develop solutions for distributor repack requests on items not carried in the program
- Provide assistance as needed with Amazon and retail licensing
The Other Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant experience. You are strong in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills
- SAP experience and Industry certification (ISM, CIPS) are preferred. Contract management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience (4+ years) in lieu of a degree
