Job Description

Western Digital IT is looking for a proficient IT Data Product Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer dedicated to driving business data analytical transformation within the Business Unit groups our team supports. The ideal candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of data analytics solutions to enable business with modern, sophisticated, AI oriented data products.

This candidate will become an integral member of data analytics team for advanced solutions to drive data analytics capabilities, fostering innovation, and ultimately ensuring alignment with business goals and transformation strategies. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data analytics, IT and related industries to develop and incorporate cutting edge solutions into business unit's culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain purpose-built advanced Data Products and solutions using Microsoft Power Platform 
• Ability to integrate Machine Learning into the data product for sophisticated outcomes and effective decision making
• Design, develop, and implement data models, ML Models, dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Create full circle solutions using Power Platforms for complex automated processes and workflows
• Document business cases in technical from requirements, architecture, solution and business outcome
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business needs and translate them to technical solutions using Power Platform, CI/CD, Python and R, SQL

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• Degree in Computer Science with 2-5 years of work experience  
• Proficiency in Power BI and the entire Microsoft Power Platform suite
• Experience in data modeling, ETL processes and creating visualizations to provide contextual storytelling

SKILLS:

• Strong T-SQL and database management skills - knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise a plus
• Knowledge of DAX and M (Power Query Formula Language)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data integration methods
• Experience in designing, implementing and deploying data product solutions that meet business needs 
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Solid knowledge of building and validating machine learning models, data wrangling and cleaning, domain knowledge for IT infrastructure, continuous and rapid evolution of skills
