About the role

Through service, quality, and process management, and in tandem with Centralized Operations Unit Management, ensure team members are meeting published service standards while seeking to improve any processing efficiencies and challenged areas in quality. Independently provide technical and administrative support to all team members and COU Management. Be well-versed in internal operations as well as processes and procedures. Be able to manage workflow and provide direction to meet or exceed processing standards. Possess excellent communication skills, be able to juggle multiple tasks, have excellent time management, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and utilize critical thinking.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor work queue items across the team and take appropriate action to ensure timely processing of incoming requests and responses to all internal and external inquiries.
  • Independently communicate workflow priorities across the team.
  • Ensure processing consistency across all team members.
  • Primary trainer; responsible for the training support across all team members.
  • Identify and communicate system-related issues to appropriate areas.
  • Monitor all incoming priority/rush tasks to ensure capacity to meet the needed completion date.
  • Identify and communicate timely any team member performance issues to your manager.
  • Handle Special Projects as assigned.
  • Effectively execute plans, drive for results, and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Identify ways to streamline and/or improve the efficiency of work.
  • Provide policy servicing and underwriting support to the Global Casualty Major Complex Business Unit.
  • Communicate with branch offices to gather data and ensure the accuracy of policy information.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate systems and company forms/endorsements to complete and submit policies to internal and external clients.
  • Maintain/exceed service standards in the areas of production, service, support, and customer service/job approach.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of commercial casualty underwriting support experience is a plus.
  • Expert level understanding of insurance terminology and utilization of various systems.
  • Take an organized and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues.
  • Find ways to extend and apply innovative ideas to enhance business results.
  • Work independently and handle larger volumes of work with ease. Take initiative and willingly do more than is required or expected in the job.
  • Ability to redirect personal efforts in response to changing circumstances.
  • Uphold and model Chubb values and always do the right thing for the company, colleagues, and customers.
  • Effectively and proficiently function in a time-sensitive and high-volume environment.
  • Willingness to take ownership for assigned work and production output.
  • Commitment to quality.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
