Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Billing Specialist-Payment Posting for our Patient Financial Services, who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
As a Billing Specialist- Payment Posting, you will:
• Responsible for daily payment posting and reconciliation.
• Receives, identifies, and batches all payments for posting.
• Ensure accurate accounts receivable reporting and post insurance payments, patient payments, and zero pays and perform adjustments accordingly.
• Ensure all denials and zero payments are reviewed and categorized for further analysis.
• Identify discrepancies in payment and report any consistent issues to the management team for resolution.
• Analyze and review all payments and adjustments received from insurance companies to ensure maximum accuracy and timely reimbursement.
• Responsible for completing the daily cash report and balances to daily cash deposits.
• Ensure all unidentified payments received are reconciled within 30 days.
• Identify insufficient checks and transfer balances to patients for checks received as insufficient funds.
• Work in tandem with the medical billing team to ensure patient accounts reflect the correct balance.
• Assist in the resolution of patient inquiries related to their account balances.
• Perform any related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma required.
• 1-2 years of experience required in medical billing or payment posting.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must maintain a high volume of processing without compromising quality and accuracy.
• Strong Customer Service skills.
• Ability to participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction, and efficiency.
• Working knowledge of Excel and Word required.
• Requires good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephones, fax machine, calculator and copy machine.
• Proficient in PC, internet, and email required.

Pay Range:
$19.12 - $26.42If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
