We are in search of a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Retail Store Manager to support the daily operations of our HOP Shops. The successful candidate will assist in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and profitable functioning of the store. Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Retail Store Manager will contribute to managing inventory, supervising employees, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the convenience store and gas station.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adequate stock levels within the store.
• Aid in inventory management, including ordering products as necessary.
• Support in supervising and training employees to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist in creating employee work schedules and delegating tasks effectively.
• Collaborate in monitoring sales and expenses to maintain store profitability.
• Aid in handling customer complaints and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by all employees.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for both employees and customers.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by upper management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail management, ideally within a convenience store or gas station setting.
• Strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
• Capability to motivate and manage a team of employees.
• Excellent customer service aptitude.
• Proficient organizational and time management capabilities.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Computer literate (experience with various POS systems a plus), word, excel, and outlook
• Minimum 1 year management experience in Convenience store, Department store, or grocery store.
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week.
• Work evenings, nights, and sometimes overnight shifts.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Minimum Education: High School or GED
• Valid Drivers License with clean driving record
