Senior Accountant

We are looking for an energetic and detailed oriented Senior Accountant to support our amazing Finance team in the day-to-day accounting tasks. This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

About the team

The finance team is very flexible and energetic. We work closely with other teams at the same time as we contribute to the company’s growth and scalability: optimising our systems, policies and processes, ensuring the accuracy and control of the information, adapting our financial accounting and reporting, developing business plans to help in the decision making and to anticipate risks and opportunities, etc.

We are a very united team, cooperative with each other, looking for excellence in everything we do, focusing on the digitalization and optimization of our tasks, aiming to bring the finance department to another level and becoming a key business partner for the organisation. Our team consists of:

Your mission within Kantox

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Account analysis and reconciliation on all balance sheets accounts for all entities (mainly the ones related to AP, accruals, banks and fixed assets)
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year-end close processes
• Take the lead in the coordination of the accounts payable month closing process, handling accounting issues/discrepancies
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Assist with annual financial audit preparations
• Assist with tax returns, mainly VAT, through SII
• Monitor and analyse the data related to the clients' credit risk/outstanding balances
• Supervise and mentor the accounting assistants

Requirements

Who you are

• Fluent level in English and Spanish
• 3-4 years of general accounting experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (mainly Excel) and ERP (Netsuite)
• Highly detailed oriented and organised.
• Ability to analyse large sets of data

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive and team player
