Senior Product Manager - Wire & Crimp (m/f/d) // REMOTE

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
 

your main tasks:

Business & Strategy Plan Development

• Global cluster PM leader for wire & Crimp portfolio covering applicators, hand tools, terminators with responsibilities to deliver profitable growth.
• Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape for responsible cluster to define the value proposition.
• Work with cross functions to define sales, marketing, engineering and operation plans to achieve financial goals.
• Conduct market segmentation exercises to develop market segment-specific strategies.
• Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking with market leaders.
• Define segment –specific value propositions that beat the competition.
• Design go to market strategy, inclusive of channel strategy and partnerships.
• Develop annual business plan for assigned cluster on how to achieve sales and margin targets.
• Define the portfolio and technology roadmap that aligns with business strategy for sustainable growth, manage the overall product lifecycle.
• Establish pricing policy for responsible cluster in alignment with product value propositions.

NPD & Launch

• Plan the new product development pipelines and schedules to meet YoY BU growth target, and manage the execution flawlessly. 
• Develop well justified business cases for new NPD projects with critical outcomes, such as revenue, payback and OI.
• Work with cross functions in the development of new products within expected timeline to deliver expected time to market.
• Plans product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
• Provide inputs to Marketing for the development of collateral, including e-commerce.
• Enable sales to promote product line via training and the development of collateral materials that help articulate the value proposition.

 

Team Management

• Lead and build high performance cluster PM team that is able to deliver according to the growth plan.
• Manage, energize and motivate a multi-cultural team of product managers located around the globe
• Build, coach and develop individuals and teams to move towards a market oriented, high performance group

your profile:

• Minimum 10 years of professional level experience, with 5 years’ experience in Product Management.
• Global working experience preferred.
• Relevant product or industry / Auto experience and Channel experience preferred
• Ability to support frequent travel up to 50% (both regional and global)
• Strong strategy and business planning skills to structure product business growth plan based on solid understanding of market and industry needs.
• Strong financial insights to understand implications of key financial and quantitative indicators; manages overall financial performance.
• Strong interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills.
• A thought leader to be able to provide input on both commercial and technical innovations.
