JOB SUMMARY
Serve as the Pharmacy Lead to deliver on enterprise pharmacy architecture and workflow design; oversee PharmNet configuration and testing; manage formulary governance and medication order standards; drive multi-site standardization and domain consolidation; partner with pharmacy, clinical, and IT leadership; ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards; guide interface and automation integration; support go-live readiness, command center operations.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the architecture, design, and configuration of pharmacy applications and medication management workflows.
- Translate pharmacy operational requirements into system and integration specifications.
- Design and optimize workflows related to medication ordering, dispensing, administration, and reconciliation.
- Support formulary management, medication dictionaries, order sets, and clinical decision support.
- Partner with integration teams to ensure pharmacy interoperability with EHR, dispensing systems, and automation tools.
- Oversee validation, testing, and optimization of pharmacy system changes and new implementations.
- Collaborate with pharmacy directors, clinicians, and technical teams to ensure regulatory compliance and medication safety.
- Provide go-live leadership, issue resolution, and stabilization support post-deployment.
- Mentor pharmacy analysts and contribute to governance, standardization, and best practices across programs.
- Travel will be required for this role up to 25%.
JOB SCOPE
The Pharmacy Lead will lead the design, configuration, and validation of Oracle Health pharmacy applications. The chosen candidate must have strong knowledge of pharmacy workflows and related regulations. This position works with internal and external sources under minimal direction and uses independent judgement to make decisions and complete activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years combined related work experience
- At least 6 years of experience in healthcare information technology (HCIT) consulting or other client-facing IT roles
- An additional 3 years of work experience directly related to the duties of the job
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Knowledge and experience with Oracle Health pharmacy applications: Medication Manager, Product Manager, Bedrock, Olympus, PHADBTools, etc.
- Barcode Meds Admin, Medication-use workflow optimization; formulary and order architecture; CDS/PowerPlans design; dispensing cabinet/smart pump/robotics integration; regulatory alignment (TJC, CMS, Leapfrog); cross-functional leadership; domain consolidation; technical troubleshooting; pharmacy automation and interoperability
- Experience in HCIT system design and build
- Experience in workflow and technology assessment
- Experience with integration between clinical and revenue cycle applications
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex information to operations, financial, and application teams
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $130-140K. Specific offers take into account a candidate’s education, experience and skills, as well as the candidate’s work location and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k and bonus opportunity.
