GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The HR Employee Experience Specialist will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing the overall employee experience within ECS4Kids. The position will provide comprehensive support across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits, compliance, and performance management.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to foster a positive work culture and improve employee engagement. Conduct regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, LiveScan, and job offers. Coordinate and conduct new hire orientations and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless integration of new employees.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Mediate and resolve conflicts and grievances in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Compliance & Policy Administration: Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and company policies. Assist in the implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Performance Management: Support performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development plans. Provide guidance to managers on performance-related issues and improvement strategies.
  • Communication: Enhance internal communication channels to ensure employees are informed, engaged, and connected with company updates, initiatives, and changes.
  • HR Projects: Participate in HR projects and initiatives, such as employee engagement programs, wellness and trauma informed care initiates, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on HR issues, providing guidance and support to staff across the organization, staying informed about changes in laws, regulations, industry standards, and emerging risks that may impact business processes, and proactively advise management on best practices for risk management and compliance.
  • Culture: Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement by promoting awareness of HR best practice standards throughout the organization.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or HR certification required
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in an HR generalist or similar role, with a solid understanding of HR practices and employment laws.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Empathetic, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with HR software, applicant tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
