About the role
Evolus is a performance beauty company with a customer-centric approach focused on delivering breakthrough products. We are seeking an enthusiastic Senior Accountant. In this role, you will participate in month-end close and monthly and quarterly reporting activities, including the preparation and review of monthly reconciliations and quarterly SEC reporting. You will be able to use your research skills to help design, implement, maintain and manage all related processes and functions. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Responsible for accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures for certain key balance sheet and income statement accounts, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.
- Prepare global consolidation, flux analysis, and review of international reporting packages.
- Perform SOX compliance procedures.
- Prepare and provide support for certain SEC reporting requirements.
- Work with external auditors to ensure communication of accurate and timely information for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Prepare and file annual/quarterly state tax filings.
- Ensure all accounting practices comply with established accounting principles.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information, developing strong cross-functional relationships.
- Participate in accounting projects as needed.
- Take ownership of responsibilities and be able to document detailed workflow.
- Continually analyze areas of responsibility for process improvement opportunities and prioritize implementation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- 5-8 years of professional accounting experience with varied financial reporting, accounting and business management practices. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience and knowledge of US GAAP. CPA preferred
- Able to think critically and bring up issues to management.
- Strong communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Customer service oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly motivated to grow with the Company and ability to adapt to change.
- Office location – Newport Beach (Hybrid onsite Tuesday – Thursday)
- This position reports to the Director of Accounting
