We’re building a new engineering team, and we’re looking for passionate, hands-on technologists to help us lead the way.</p><p></p><p><b>CDSClear IT </b>is the team behind the technology powering CDSClear – a critical clearing service within the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).</p><p></p><p>We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with Cloud Engineering skills to <b>design and develop</b><span> Infrastructure-as-Code</span> and automated deployment solutions for applications supporting our clearing service. The role is part of the build out of a new team based in Bucharest. The new team will collaborate with colleagues in London and Paris to deliver innovative solutions.  You will learn how to deliver in a commercially focussed financial services business in a phase of expansion.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Take ownership within the <b>end-to-end software delivery lifecycle</b>, using Agile or traditional methodologies as needed.</li><li>Design and maintenance of <span>Infrastructure-as-Code</span> using Terraform.</li><li>Engineering of Java software build and packaging processes using tools such as Maven, Gradle, Docker Compose.</li><li>Management of artifacts in Enterprise solution (Artifactory/Nexus)</li><li>Design and implementation of automated deployment solutions using tools such as Ansible, Helm.</li><li>Collaborate with global teams to design AWS Cloud Infrastructure, build, packaging or deployment solutions.</li><li>Champion <b>automation</b>, from testing to deployment, to ensure speed and quality.</li><li>Work within a <b>regulated financial environment</b>, with a strong focus on <b>cybersecurity</b> and <b>production controls</b>.</li><li>Occasional out of hours support for releases or incidents.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Candidate Profile / Key Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Exhibit the skills required to engineer AWS services configured to meet corporate standards including those for resilience and information security.</li><li>Have experience of using of Terraform in a corporate environment delivered via CI/CD pipelines.</li><li>Have experience defining Infrastructure As Code for the majority of the following AWS services: EC2, RDS, EKS, Lambda, S3, EFS, Managed Kafka, ELB, Route 53 plus other networking services.</li><li>Experience using Ansible to configure and deploy applications.</li><li>Linux skills suitable for installing, configuring and managing software.</li><li>Experience engineering pipelines in CI/CD tools to complete test environment setup and to execute tests.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>It would help us if you have:</b></p><ul><li>Understanding of Java-based backend services (Spring Boot, microservices architecture) and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.</li><li>Have engineered scalable and resilient Kubernetes clusters and supported the configuration of the hosted containerised applications.</li><li>Have familiarity with code and dependency scanning toolsets for SCM, container scanning and static analysis.</li><li>Used Artifactory as part of previous SDLC experience.</li></ul><p></p><ul></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b>:</p><p></p><p>We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
