Role Overview

The Scrum Master is a key role within Circana's Global Operations team, embedded in the Deepcurrents initiative. Reporting to the Vice President of AI & Intelligent Automation Delivery, this position drives the continuous delivery of AI use cases and Intelligent Automation solutions using Scrum methodology. The Scrum Master ensures operational teams can rapidly ideate, build, and release automation capabilities that advance Circana's zero-touch, AI-enabled operating model.

Circana is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the Operations team in delivering AI use cases and Intelligent Automation initiatives at pace and scale. Using Scrum as the primary delivery methodology, this role enables cross-functional Operations squads to continuously plan, build, test, and release automation solutions, from micro-automations to AI-powered workflows. The Scrum Master will work closely with Operations leads, Value Stream Process Owners, data scientists, and automation engineers to maintain a healthy delivery cadence, remove blockers, and ensure each sprint produces tangible business value. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who understands both Agile delivery and the operational complexity of deploying AI and automation in a live production environment.

Ensure meetings are focused, time-boxed, and outcome-driven with a particular focus on sprint-based delivery of AI use cases and automation builds within the Operations team.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and resolve impediments that block the delivery of AI use cases or automation releases. Escalate systemic issues — such as data access gaps, tooling limitations, or cross-team dependencies
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Coach team members, Value Stream Process Owners, and stakeholders on Agile and Scrum principles. Champion a growth mindset and support the continuous development of Agile maturity across the organization.
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate key Agile metrics including velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time, and team health. Provide data-driven insights to the VP and leadership to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Dependency & Risk Management: Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and delivery risks. Collaborate with Program Managers and Release teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution across Agile Release Trains or program increments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive retrospective action items and foster a culture of inspect-and-adapt. Lead initiatives to improve team processes, delivery practices, and ways of working across the Agile portfolio.
