Global Director, Total Rewards
The Global Director, Total Rewards is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of a comprehensive suite of compensation, benefits, and wellness programs that support the organization's strategic goals, enhance employee engagement, and ensure competitiveness in the marketplace. Reporting into the CHRO, these responsibilities include but are not limited to global implementation of all compensation processes and administration (implementation of job levels, base pay, short- and long-term incentives, sales compensation, and other variable pay programs across the regions), benefits & wellness, retirement and pension schemes, and recognition programs. This role will lead a global team and will work closely with senior leadership, HR partners, and external vendors to ensure that the company’s total rewards offerings are aligned with the company’s goals, industry best practices and employee needs on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and ongoing management of the company’s Total Rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellness programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and company culture.
- Monitor labor markets where Momentive Technologies operates, benchmark and update salary scales and benefit packages as needed. Ensure all compensation programs are delivered in compliance to local laws and regulations.
- Manage the annual compensation review cycle, including merit, bonus, and equity planning, in collaboration with Finance and senior leadership.
- Support Compensation Committee and Executive Compensation material preparation.
- Own the job evaluation process, partnering with Human Resources Business Partners, Recruiters, Hiring Managers, and Finance to assess roles, levels, and compensation bands.
- Oversee development of training and execution of communication strategies to ensure HR, leadership, and employees are informed about the company’s total rewards offerings, including benefits, compensation programs, and wellness initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Human Resources Business Partners and Talent Acquisition on compensation-related matters, guiding decision-making on offers, promotions, and adjustments.
- Partner with Finance to conduct compensation modeling, forecasting, and budgeting for salary increases, equity grants, and incentive programs.
- Ensure compliance with pay transparency laws and regulatory requirements, staying ahead of emerging compensation-related legislation.
- Direct and manage the company’s global benefits programs including health, welfare and retirement programs, ensuring compliance and cost competitiveness.
- Maintain awareness of vendor relationships and plans
- Ensure regional benefit programs are based on competitive practice, compliant with local laws and regulations, and have proper governance models.
- Identify opportunities to develop meaningful employee recognition programs to support employee engagement, drive higher level of individual and team performance, and support the company culture.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years of professional Total Rewards or Human Resources experience
- 7+ of the 10 years as a compensation and benefits manager or Sr. analyst with proven success in managing international compensation and/or benefits programs.
- BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven track record of success in managing change in a transformational organization.
- Significant experience of working at a senior level within Compensation and Benefits, with at least some experience of working in a global manufacturing environment
