Position Overview

The Office of Fiscal Services is seeking to hire a self-motivated, knowledgeable, ambitious, detail-oriented administrator to supervise in the Cash Management Unit for the Bureau of General Accounting in Springfield, Illinois. Serves as the Accountant Supervisor over refunds section.  Plans, directs, and supervises accounting activities relating to SSI including reconciling collections (cash receipts) for SSI accounts receivable, ensures subsidiary ledger is in balance with the control account, reconciles accounts and claims added with appropriate source documents, assists, and maintains the integrity of the system by reviewing and analyzing daily, weekly, and monthly reports utilizing Microsoft Access. Oversees the verification and audit of batch entries into the Statewide Accounting System. Coordinates accounting activities relating to the processing of Med D receipts including timely deposit of checks, entry into the Statewide Accounting System and compilation of reports for data entry by contractor.
