Laboratory Director - Red Bay Hospital, Laboratory, Full Time, 1st Shift

Responsibilities

Directs the administration of the Clinical Laboratory. Coordinates a wide variety of administrative, fiscal, and technical activities to ensure efficient operations. Serves also as Technical Director. Works closely with the Medical Director and reports to the Administrator. This is classified as a management position.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Certified as Medical Technologist by ASCP, AMT, ISCLT, NCA, HEW, HHS, etc. Advanced Management Certification is desirable.Experience:Four years of supervisory experience or two years as Assistant Director.Additional Skills/AbilitiesKnowledge of budget preparation and monitoring; good oral and written communication skills; positive and friendly; ability to multi-task; team player with excellent customer service skills. Occasional prolonged standing and walking; handles emergency or crisis situations.
