Overview

Global Transportation Finance delivers global capital solutions for the Firm’s clients both in the Bank market and the capital markets in the US. The Business leverages asset and financial knowledge to capture value added opportunities across the capital stack in the aviation sector which include narrow-body aircraft, wide-body aircraft, regional aircraft, freighter aircraft, simulators, corporate jets, helicopters, engines/ rotables, etc. The product offering ranges from collateralized lending in these sectors including financing of aircraft (incl. helicopters), mergers & acquisitions / acquisition finance, Asset Backed Securities, portfolio financing, warehouses, recourse bi-lateral, non-recourse asset risk, ECA financing, specialized lending, secondary trading incl. portfolio acquisitions, Junior debt etc.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate and support deal origination as well as the structuring and execution of transactions involving a variety of financial instruments

  • Coordinate and conduct due diligence processes, engagements with management teams and the negotiation of financing/transaction documentation

  • Review and build complex financial models in relation to complex transactions

  • Manage internal approval processes including credit, regulatory, market risk etc

How You’ll Lead

  • Strong aptitude for project management and network development with an ability to work in a team

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder handling skills, with experience of working with Syndicate, Sales, and external financial institutions to syndicate/sell down exposure

Skills You’ll Need

  • Experience working on structured finance transactions across a variety of jurisdictions and products including senior debt, junior debt, and capital markets

  • Analytical aptitude including, ability to conduct due diligence and assessment of clients’ credit quality and asset analysis, reviewing complex financial models, as well as experience interpreting and negotiating transaction documents

  • Understanding, and ability to understand, macro market and industry trends

Skills That Will Help You Excel

  • Degree educated and/or relevant sector/industry (structured or corporate finance) experience

  • Numeracy (including accounting knowledge), accuracy and spreadsheet modelling experience

  • Self-motivated

  • Self-starter

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $180K to $250K. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
