Job Description
Reporting to the SVP, Revenue Cycle Management, the Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) is responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of our revenue cycle operations. The Vice President will oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle process, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and a patient-centered experience.
Privia Health orchestrates its Revenue Cycle Management through national oversight, strategic offshore partnerships, and localized market resources, ensuring a cohesive approach across all facets of practice operations. The Vice President of RCM spearheads this critical function by defining and deploying
revenue cycle policies, procedures, and processes, coupled with rigorous accountability for teams against key performance indicators. Furthermore, this role demands strong leadership to guide staff, consistently embodying and promoting Privia Health's core mission, vision, and values.
Primary Job Duties:
• Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize all components of the revenue cycle, including patient access, billing, collections, revenue integrity, claims and denials management
• Provide day-to-day operational oversight of RCM across a subset of Privia's markets while overseeing and managing national RCM operations, including but not limited to Revenue Optimization, AR Management, Training, Unpostables, QA, Refunds, and Overpayments
• Lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams across RCM functions.
• Review, enact, and maintain policies, procedures, and processes related to revenue cycle functions
• Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics; recommend and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, IT, compliance, and clinical leadership to drive integrated revenue cycle initiatives
• Own full P&L responsibility for RCM operations. Partner with the SVP of RCM to develop the annual budget and ensure the department adheres to fiscal goals and budgetary expectations
• Design and implement strategic RCM plans to enhance performance or maximize operational effectiveness for existing and new market growth, ensuring alignment with Privia's broader revenue cycle goals
• Implement technology solutions, robotic process automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cash flow
• Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence
• Oversee relationships with external vendors and partners supporting RCM operations, developing strategies to enhance workflows and maximize resource utilization
• Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to maintain a cutting-edge revenue cycle operation
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific billing regulations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience in revenue cycle management within healthcare organizations
• Multi-site and multi-state experience required
• Deep knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models, payer contracts, billing regulations, and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data-driven approaches to optimize revenue cycle performance
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience implementing and optimizing RCM technology platforms (e.g., EHR/EMR, billing systems)
• Thorough understanding of all payers including all major commercial payers as well as Medicaid and Managed Medicaid across multiple markets
• athenaNet experience preferred
• Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations
The salary range for this role is $190,000-$225,000 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance, 401K, paid time off, and other wellness programs).This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 25% and restricted stock units. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors
