Auslandspraktikum / Internship Mechanical Engineering - Farmington (Summer term 2025)

Your tasks

• Work with mechanical design engineers on new product design concepts

• Participate in development of machine tools and machine tools components

• Create technical documentation (drawings and BOM’s) for parts and units

• Define requirements for units and parts

• Support assembly and testing of designed units

• Create design changes and improvements

Your profile

• Enrolled student at a German university

• A technical background, like Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar field of study

• Excellent knowledge of MS office products

• Experience and knowledge of 3D CAD software, such as SolidWorks

• Very good command of written and spoken English

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, present findings, and explain technical concepts clearly

• Interested in technology offered by TRUMPF

• TRUMPF knowledge is a plus
