Position Summary
•Responsible for assisting with supervising and coordinating laboratory services.
Education
•Bachelor’s degree required.
Licenses and Certification
•MT/MLS (ASCP) or equivalent
•HT (ASCP) for Histology and Pathology
Experience and Skills
•Technical Experience: 3 years
•Supervisor Experience: 1 year
Role Specific Responsibilities
•Develops and maintains appropriate policies and procedures for section and department.
•Responsible for documentation required for all staff, to appropriately maintain personnel files.
•Supports and communicates Laboratory initiatives and philosophies.
•Maintains confidentiality with respect to all employee information.
•Maintains appropriate privacy and confidentiality of all patient information.
•Maintains and documents continuous readiness for accreditation surveys.
•Meets all regulatory standards for the handling and performance of proficiency testing.
•Ensures all laboratory charges are posted per policy.
•Reviews charges to ensure accuracy of laboratory bills.
Compensation (Commensurate with experience):
