Staff Software Engineer: HSV-2514

deciBel Research has an immediate opening for a Staff Software Engineer in Huntsville, AL.

Position Description:

deciBel Research seeks a senior software developer with years' experience for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) team on the Ground Missile Defense (GMD) system. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing software updates that best meet changing customer needs for new and existing features, collaborating with team members, and working in a cross-functional agile scrum team. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborations across disciplines.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field from an accredited university with 8+ years' experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years' experience

Experience Requirements:

• Experience developing embedded and object-oriented software in C++
• Experience using Cmake
• Experience with Gtest
• Experience developing software in a Linux (preferably RHEL) environment

Special Skills Desired:

• Degree in Software Engineering or related field
• Missile Defense domain knowledge
• Knowledge of SysUML
• Familiarity with Atlassian and Agile software development practices.
• Security + Certification
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance
