Accounting Staff Accountant

Description

Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance with a variety of accounts payable functions by coding invoices, maintaining accurate vendor information and following departmental processes and procedures.
• Responsible for reviewing, ensuring proper expenditures and matching receipts to credit card statements
• Provide assistance with a variety of accounts receivable functions
• Assist department personnel with input of new owner information
• Assist department personnel with processing return mail, including accurate notations and research to resolve
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

• BS Degree in accounting or related field and/or equivalent industry experience.
• Be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to make independent judgments which potentially have significant impacts on the organization.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures for effective fiscal control.
• Proficient in relevant computer applications
