Accounting Intern

We are looking for Accounting Interns to join our Target Rock team in the Accounting Department! As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with Project Creation, Funding Projects, Invoice creation and submittal to customers, Cash Reports & Reconciliation, Collections, Month End Close, and Ad-Hoc Reporting.  You will also work closely with Program Manager and Contract Administrators on projects.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $20 an hour

Your Challenge

• Works closely with Program Manager and Contracts Administrators on projects
• Revenue recognition determination on contracts according to ASC 606
• Assigns & creates new projects as required by Contracts personnel timely and accurately

• Review and book Sales Orders entered by Contracts personnel
• Review and reconcile cash receipts
• Maintaining various spreadsheets and updating information as needed
• Generates invoices in ERP system and timely submission to customers
• Collections on customer past due invoices.
• Assist during the Month End Close

• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor

What You Bring

• Must be a US citizen
• Accounting, Finance or Business Major
• Detail and multi-task oriented
• Ability to set priorities to meet deadlines
