Accounting Manager, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Commercial Accounting Agile team.  This role leads the Agile team through new company initiatives, data transformation impacts, partners with Accounting and Operations team counterparts, and project plans with Tech Pods. This manager will need to demonstrate strong communication skills and enjoy running a well-organized team. In addition, the manager will need to actively engage in our dynamic business environment to ensure consistent process execution and delivery.  

Responsibilities: 

• Responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and managing complex delivery of Commercial Accounting results in the modern chart of accounts  and seamlessly transition to the Commercial Accounting areas

• Obtain a solid knowledge of Commercial systems and products and translate initiatives into business requirements

• Manage and influence key Accounting systems requirements through interactions with program delivery teams and strategic, partnerships in a way that grows the team’s brand

• Promote collaboration through participation in regular team meetings and sprint planning

• Effective presentation and communication skills for the customer, partners, and Accounting leadership

• Hands-on leader that can actively identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risks 

• Have a strong understanding of dataset schema and manage ownership through the Company’s tech transformation

• Monitor the status of new product offerings, business initiatives and efficiency projects to determine the impact on existing processes and implementing changes, where needed 

• Challenge the status quo and drive process improvements

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's Degree or military experience 

• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, Audit, or a combination

• At least 1 year of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Product Owner or Agile Lead experience

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License 

• At least 5 years of experience with Financial Services, Commercial experience, or a combination

• At least 5 years of experience leading agile teams and implementing data transformation

• At least 3 years of people management experience

• At least 3 years of hands on experience with Jira, Tableau, Databricks, Onestream, or a combination

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Accounting

 

Richmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Accounting

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
