Technical Expert

We're on the search for a Technical Expert to embark on challenging, mission-critical projects at Annapolis Junction, MD directly impacting the nation’s security and intelligence mission. As the Technical Expert, you will be responsible for solving varied software related problems and generating and reviewing software designs for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule. This includes Linux/Windows system administration, database administration, VM management creation and setup, familiarity with CNO corporate repositories and database queries and modifications. In addition, you should have experience with Python script creating and modifications; user interface design, development, implementation and maintenance; software design and implementation with a background in midpoint and development specifically on systems and applications that include Monitor and Error handling; setting up and execution of network traffic generation; and familiarity with SCRUM/KANBAN.

You'd like to do this: 

• Complete software designs.
• Conduct Systems Administration for both Linux and Windows based systems.
• Keep track of budgets and schedules.
• Lead a team.

You’re required to have this:

• Twelve (12) years of experience solving varied software related problems and generating and reviewing software designs for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
• A bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, Computer Science, or Physics from an accredited college or university.
  • A master's degree in an engineering discipline, Computer Science, or Physics from an accredited college or university may be substituted for 2 years of the required experience.
  • A Ph.D. degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for 4 years of the required experience.
• Four (4) years' experience in a leadership position providing supervision to other software personnel.
• One (1) year using CASE TOOLS, the Capability Maturity Model, development of performance and customer satisfaction metric tools.
• Four (4) years' experience with software life-cycle processes.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $250,000
