Purpose: The HRIT Manager is responsible for leading all technology initiatives that support the operational needs of SEIU’s Human Resources Department and Executive Office. This includes oversight of cybersecurity practices, HR systems management, IT support for HR processes (including employee transitions such as onboarding and terminations), negotiations and grievance support, and the strategic integration of technology to increase department-wide efficiency and effectiveness. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this role also provides technical support at the executive level, ensuring secure, seamless technology integration for high-level meetings, communications, and leadership activities.

●     Serve as the primary technology lead for the Human Resources Department and Executive Office, managing all aspects of systems, infrastructure, and IT support.

●     Partner with HR and Executive leadership to assess current systems and identify opportunities to streamline and modernize HR functions using technology.

●     Oversee technology needs related to employee lifecycle events, including onboarding, offboarding, and role changes, ensuring secure access control and timely system updates.

●     Develop and implement cybersecurity practices tailored to the confidentiality and compliance requirements of HR operations.

●     Evaluate, select, and manage HR technologies, including performance management systems, applicant tracking systems, and personnel data platforms.

●     Lead projects to integrate technology into HR administrative and strategic processes, improving operational efficiency and accuracy.

●     Provide direct technology support to SEIU’s executive leadership for secure communications, AV needs, and high-level meetings.

●     Coordinate with IT and external vendors to support HR and executive-level technology needs, including troubleshooting and system improvements.

●     Plan, set up, and manage AV and conferencing technology for HR-led training, meetings, and leadership development activities.

●     Conduct regular assessments of data privacy risks, system vulnerabilities, and compliance with HR technology protocols.

●     Create and maintain documentation related to HR tech systems, processes, access policies, and user support resources.

Direction and Decision Making: This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and works collaboratively across departments to ensure technology solutions are aligned with HR priorities and broader organizational needs.

Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred but not required. The successful candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
