Summary
The Energy Innovation Consultant / Advisor: Hydrogen & Microgrid Customer Initiatives responsible for developing and managing the programmatic aspects for key Energy Innovation and Technology initiatives and projects, both customer and utility-focused, including budget oversight and reporting, project work plan implementation, key success indicator tracking and reporting, internal communication plans, training preparation and coordination, advanced technical assessments, and trend analysis. Manage engagement with hydrogen production customers and their related projects. Drive microgrid opportunities for customers that have backup generation requirements.
You are responsible for:
- Develop and maintain technical expertise and may be called on to act as lead on major projects and programs, coordinating and managing activities across multiple business units to extract the highest value.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Report to management on program status and provides advice on issues and opportunities.

- Led teams of Program Consultants and Analysts to execute project deliverables.
- Developed and delivered high level presentations to executive leadership committees including providing expert recommendations on best course of action.
- Developed relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Reported to senior management on program status and provides advice on critical issues and opportunities.
- Provided technical consultation and expertise in the domain of on-site, distributed backup power generation (Microgrids), energy storage, renewables, clean fuels and sustainability/decarbonization initiative.
- Participated in recognized industry and/or professional organizations including national and international standards bodies.
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or related field
- AND eight (8) years of prior relevant experience in the power and natural gas sectors with an understanding of regulatory, technical and business issues impacting the industry including renewables, distributed energy and grid technologies.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, High School/GED
- PLUS 12 years directly related experience in the power and natural gas sectors with an understanding of regulatory, technical and business issues impacting the industry including renewables, distributed energy and grid technologies.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of one or more emerging energy technologies and related business models, such as solar, energy storage, electric vehicles, energy management software platforms etc.
Energy Innovation Advisor: Hydrogen & Strategic Customer Initiatives
- Bachelors' degree in Engineering, Science, Information Technology or related field
- AND twelve (12) years of prior relevant experience in the power or technology sector with an understanding of regulatory, technical and business issues impacting the industry with emphasis on renewables, distributed energy or grid technologies.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, High School/GED
- PLUS 16 years directly related experience in the power or technology sector with an understanding of regulatory, technical and business issues impacting the industry with emphasis on renewables, distributed energy and grid technologies.
- Experience building complete and complex business cases with multiple options using research and analysis.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of emerging energy technologies and related business models, such as solar, energy storage, electric vehicles, energy management software platforms, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of energy issues, technologies, markets, the electric utility industry, and relevant state and federal requirements.
- Strong background in R&D, Innovation, creation of pilot and proof of concept programs and measurement, and strategic thinking.
- Able to clearly articulate a vision and maturation path for a broad area of technology focus.
