Overview:

We are seeking a skilled QA Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a QA Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and designers, to identify and resolve any software defects or issues. Your expertise in test automation, test planning, and bug tracking will be invaluable in delivering high-quality software to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Test Planning and Strategy:
  1. Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements and specifications.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test scenarios and prioritize testing efforts.
  3. Define test objectives, scope, and deliverables for each project.
• Test Execution and Automation:
  1. Design and execute manual and automated test cases to verify software functionality, performance, and usability.
  2. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
  3. Monitor and analyze test results, identify defects, and track them using bug tracking systems.
  4. Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve identified issues.
• Continuous Improvement:
  1. Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  2. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts.
  3. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software design and architecture to improve testability and maintainability.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  2. Generate regular reports on testing progress, test coverage, and defect metrics.
  3. Communicate testing results, issues, and risks to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  4. As part of our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, this position may also involve responsibilities related to SOX compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer or Software Tester, preferably in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
