Summary
Assists in the maintenance efforts of the building and grounds of Jewelers Mutual. Handles basic building repairs and day-to-day upkeep of facilities. Responsible for employee inquiries regarding equipment alterations and custodial work as needed. Partial support of front desk and ensuring the safety and protection of employees, visitors, and associated property.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Handles assigned building repairs and makes suggestions about necessary improvements within the facility
- Responsible to extract carpet and scrub hard floor surfaces per the established schedule and maintain cleaning equipment
- Able to perform elementary electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs
- May be involved in the completion of certain renovation projects
- Supports the importance of providing a safe environment to onsite employees and works to sustain this type of environment
- Assists in lawn maintenance, including lawn cutting, tree sawing/trimming, landscaping, buckthorn removal, edging, and weed/lawn trimming.
- Snow removal with potential for after hours/weekends during large snowstorms. Salting sidewalks and walking paths. Snow removal and salting can include manual shoveling and salting and utilizing the company tractors with attached snowblower and salter to utilizing the company truck with snowplow.
- Assembles equipment such as office cubicles, file cabinets, and other necessary equipment in the building
- Perform as a back up to the custodian when custodian is not present.
- Support of front desk and ensuring the safety and protection of employees, visitors, and associated property.

Able to lift to 50 lbs. Items such as but not limited to, boxes of copy paper, furniture, snow melt salt, softener salt, bags of lawn fertilizer and grass seed
High school diploma or equivalent; strong mechanical and communication skills. Must be able to solve problems and be a fast thinker.
