Job Summary

We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support our Internal Medicine practice located at 1 Park Way in Haverhill, MA, which provides physical examinations, routine health screenings and preventative care for adult patients. The desired schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm with the expectation that employees will be onsite for all hours worked.

Dedicated to clinical support, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team. At our practice, Medical Assistants work 1 to 1 with their assigned Provider, allowing a strong partnership to be formed. We find that this structure enhances communication, improves efficiency, and personalizes patient care, ultimately leading to a better experience for all parties involved.

Responsibilities include:

Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office (anticipated visit volume will be around 20 patients per day)
Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, injections/immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to coordination of care (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.)
Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs


 

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma/GED 

  • Either BLS or Annual Manikin training including CPR and AED after 6 months of hire


 

Additional Job Details (if applicable)

Strongly Preferred: 

  • Medical Assistant Course or diploma program or a minimum of 1-year professional experience, OBGYN experience preferred

  • National MA Certification via AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT
