About the role

Senior Technical Product Manager (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week onsite in Irvine, CA)

Overview:

The Senior Technical Product Manager will be responsible for fostering Weedmaps’ current integrations as well as own the vision of integrations for Weedmaps. They will Identify and document customer requirements, oversee key aspects of the product development process and provide leadership to and coordination between executives, product management, account management and engineering. They will also oversee the development process, correlating and synthesizing information and talents from multiple teams and departments in order to maximize efficiency.

The impact you'll make:

  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including but not limited to executives, engineers and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
  • Follow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly.
  • Provide internal and customer training on how to use the product.
  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
  • Assess and address technical risks.
  • Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems.
  • Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
  • Coordinate beta tests.
  • Use database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.

What you've accomplished:

  • Eight to ten years in a product or project management role, with at least one year in a leadership or supervisory role
  • A bachelor's degree in business, product management, or a relevant technical field
  • Proficiency with standard office and presentation software and platforms
  • Experience with vendor management platforms
  • Superb communication and organizational skills

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with cannabis POS (point of sale) and online e-commerce platforms and integrations.

The base pay range for this position is $152,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
