Job Description

Primary Responsibilities: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Allocations Analyst to lead the allocation of corporate costs across our investor funds. This role will ensure that allocation methodologies are applied accurately and consistently, while also identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and precision in our processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, advanced Excel expertise, and a proven ability to develop and streamline allocation methodologies within a corporate or property management environment.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • 5–10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in property management or corporate finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, modeling).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner across departments.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive company-wide data.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the preparation and execution of corporate cost allocations to investment funds using various allocation methodologies and bases.
  • Ensure allocations are accurate, well-documented, and compliant with internal policies and fund requirements.
  • Partner with accounting, FP&A and operations teams to gather data inputs and validate assumptions used in allocations.
  • Develop, refine, and implement allocation models, leveraging advanced Excel skills and other tools as appropriate.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the allocation process.
  • Proactively design new methodologies or processes where needed to align allocations more closely with fund economics.
  • Prepare reporting and analysis to communicate allocation results to stakeholders and answer related inquiries.
  • Support audits, investor requests, and other inquiries regarding allocation methodologies.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on allocations, staying up to date with best practices and industry standards.

Key Metrics & Responsibilities

  • Execute timely and accurate allocation of corporate costs across multiple investor funds.
  • Maintain and improve allocation models and methodologies in Excel and other tools.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Fund Accounting and Operations teams to validate allocation inputs and assumptions.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on allocation methodologies during audits and investor inquiries.
  • Continuously assess allocation processes for efficiency and accuracy improvements.
  • Document allocation methodologies and ensure alignment with fund requirements and internal policies.
  • Recommend and implement process automation or system enhancements where possible.

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing, with corrective lenses if needed.
  • Must be able to speak English in a clear and understandable voice so that various types of communications may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities, including the exchange and receipt of information over the telephone.
