What You Will Do:


Responsible for developing and applying testing procedures. Devises and maintains quality control and reliability standards. Provides technical support to other departments. Ensures testing procedures meet industry standards. Ensures an accurate record of measurement data. Selects samples for testing, collaborates with research and development or quality departments to develop testing strategies, and monitors the progress. Collects and analyzes test data and compiles and interprets findings into reports for management. Recommends changes to products, product designs, production processes or services. Tests may be destructive or non-destructive in nature or may include laboratory testing and/or analysis.

  • Ensures prescribed guidelines, policies, and procedures are followed while identifying opportunities for system and process enhancements.

What You Will Need:

  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust.

  • Minimum Four (4) years of related experience in QA (quality assurance).

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

  • High proficiency in SQL programming language.

  • Worked with SQL Server to pull the test data and setting up data-driven tests.

  • Extracted data of various types from SQL Server by developing SQL query scripts.

  • Performing application testing using existing testing tools such as Selenium and manual testing.

  • Experience with Java; contributing to software development by testing and validating that specifications are met in an Agile Scrum environment.

  • JIRA or an equivalent agile project management tool experience (i.e., Pivotal Tracker, VersionOne, ClearQuest).

  • Following established software development testing standards and procedures and contributing towards their improvement.

  • Designing and developing complete automated test coverage of the application.

  • Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

  • Conducting thorough defect analysis, documenting findings, and steps to reproduce.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Experience working with Jenkins, TestNG, JMeter, or DataDog.

  • Testing various ETL processes and table structures created on the enterprise-level data warehouse.

  • Understand code deployment into an established continuous integration/continuous development (CI/CD) pipeline.

  • Understanding of the DevOps testing environment.

  • Understanding Object-Oriented Programming as it relates to software testing.

  • Familiar with approaches and methodologies specific to digital/user experience solutions.  

  • Familiarity with advanced Agile frameworks, including release trains, DevOps, CI/CD pipeline management, and security requirements.

  • Review and analyze complex programming specifications to properly and effectively test each application.

The annual salary range for this position is $77,000.00-$129,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
