This position administers and supports the facilities management program ensuring compliance with regulatory and The Joint Commission accreditation standards as well as the hospital’s space planning and project and departmental budgeting function for HealthAlliance-Clinton hospital. This position works in collaboration with Facilities Management and Public Safety Management.
Administers the department’s purchasing expenditures from quotes through receipt, as well as administers budgets for engineering, grounds, plant operations and public safety. Works independently tracking and supplying data to management, as well as working in a team environment with input to department project plans.

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Prepares comprehensive capital planning plans for management, including resources, schedules and budgets for construction and maintenance projects, and Public Safety plans.  Monitors project plans, schedules, budgets and expenditures bringing concerns to Facility Management.
2. Assists department management in the development of Capital Projects budgets, and annual department operating budgets.  Monitors and researches variances to budgets and reviews with department management.  Assists in the processing of Capital Requests while working directly with Finance on the fiscal year’s capital budgets and cost center tracking.
3. Develops and maintains vendor relationships.  Obtain bids for vendor services and service agreements following hospital policy.  Works with legal on standard service agreements.  Ensure vendor services are performed timely and properly bringing concerns to management.  Reviews vendor invoices and tracks to budget plans.
4. Manages space program through maintaining and developing CAD plans for hospital and other locations as assigned.  Develops conceptual layout plans and designs for planning purposes, as well as maintaining/updating architect floor plans as assigned.  Maintains drawings and square footage reports ensuring project requirements, decisions and objectives are documented and are up to date.
5. Coordinates building space allocations requests/layouts as submitted for new hires, moves, department changes or new requirements.  Serves as a member of the Space Committee providing research and recommendations for consideration by management.  Schedules and coordinates programs for facility maintenance, repair, space allocation, renovation and/or remodeling.
6. Administers hospital furniture standards per designer specifications to ensure hospital furniture has consistency and balance within departments.
7. Maintains all associated documents and computer tracking systems for Joint Commission Statement of Conditions (SOC) and all improvements.  Ensures accuracy and timeliness of documents and explains source documents as required.  Collects documentation for the Joint Commission Environment of Care program.  
8. Coordinates various mock surveys of Joint Commission and Life Safety regulations.  Prioritizes follow-up items from these surveys to improve the environment.
