Mgr Accounting

A little taste of your day-to-day:

 

We’re looking for an Accounting Manager comfortable with balancing the books, auditors, and regulatory agencies while also monitoring and improving hotel profitability. 

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Managing and coaching your team to ensure the right person is always on the right task

● Setting exceptional accounting practice standards and ensuring financial control procedures remain ethical and legal

● Maximising financial returns through financial analysis, data trends, and market information, while budgeting accordingly

● Enhancing the guest experience through improved payment options, inventory control,s and financial dispute resolution

● Supervising several clerical accounting employees across a range of functions – from Accounts Payable to Purchasing and Payroll.

 

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional certification highly preferred. 

Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management principles. 

Strong understanding of technical accounting standards and practices. 

Knowledge of Sage 300 ERP, BirchStreet, Opera,, Micros, and ADP preferred. 

Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other Windows-based software 

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting. 

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

Strong communication skills to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Salary range for this position is 75K to 80K
