As a Director, HCP Marketing Rare Renal Launch Lead, you will be a champion of Otsuka’s culture and values and will provide overall strategic direction and performance management for the launch, collaborating closely with executive leadership to optimize strategy and ensure maximal success.. You will report to the Senior Director, Marketing - Nephrology, Immunology Rare Disease.
This position is based in Princeton, New Jersey. Otsuka maintains a hybrid work policy and travel is expected 30% of the time based on business needs.
Job Description:
Drive alignment between clinical teams and marketing efforts to effectively translate clinical data into compelling commercial messaging.
Partner with medical teams to develop an asset-level plan, ensuring a cohesive launch approach that integrates commercial and medical strategies.
Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for HCP marketing, overseeing strategy development, promotional planning, and campaign execution.
Collaborate with sales leadership to design a sales force structure that supports successful indication launch and growth, providing strategic direction to the field.
Lead cross-functional teams and strategic partners to ensure cooperation and shared responsibility in launch activities, driving overall business performance.
Utilize business analytics and market research to identify key insights and track brand performance, overseeing the development of pre-launch disease education initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
10-12 years of commercial experience in the US pharmaceutical industry, with expertise in HCP marketing, new product launches, sales, access, and market analysis.
Prior experience in rare disease or kidney disease commercialization
Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies, conducting market research, and forecasting business performance.
Experience analyzing complex business issues
Previous experience managing direct reports.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
MBA or relevant graduate/post-graduate degree.
Strong leadership skills with exceptional communication, presentation, and business partnering abilities.
Successful track record of launching brands or indications.
Experience in highly competitive therapeutic areas.
