The Role:

Congo Brands is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager in the Financial Reporting department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our fast-paced and innovative company. As the Manager of Financial Reporting, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our financial reporting processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insightful recommendations for financial improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and disclosures.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct research and perform documentation of technical accounting issues and oversee the implementation of new accounting guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights on financial performance.
• Develop and implement improvements to financial reporting processes and systems.
• Perform financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Monitor and report on key financial metrics to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation is strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems. NetSuite experience is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
