Quality Engineering Team Leaders

Responsibilities: Duties include the following:

• 1) Lead quality engineers to deliver high quality products;
• 2) Train and motivate the team to ensure high quality work;
• 3) Manage the successful execution of testing as part of the release cycle;
• 4) Interface with other teams to define test plans and prioritize feature testing based on the resources available and business priorities;
• 5) Serve as working hands on robotic arms to test out our vision, sensing, and robot motion software;
• 6) Continuously improve testing infrastructure by writing automated tests and performance analysis scripts in Python;
• 7) Work with Jira to plan and track work and communicate status to stakeholders; and
• 8) Work with a continuous integration platform to execute and track automated tests.
• Candidate will be required to travel approximately 5% domestically and 5% internationally.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Employer requires a candidate to have at least a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field, with completion of at least one post-secondary course in each of the following: (1) control theory; (2) computer vision; (3) machine learning; and (4) software programming (courses may cover more than one topic). Additionally, the employer requires a candidate to have at least two (2) years of experience in testing computer vision with robotic arms systems in commercial/industry context.  A candidate must also have the following:
• 1) Demonstrated ability in training gained through one (1) year of work experience;
• 2) Demonstrated ability working with Python or similar high-level programming language for writing tests and data analysis scripts gained through two (2) years of industry/commercial experience; and
• 3) Demonstrated ability working with Jira or a similar issue and project tracking tool gained through one (1) year of industry/commercial experience.
• All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
