Schwarz Partners has an exciting opportunity available for an Employee Relations Representative in Carmel, IN! The Employee Relations Representative is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with Senior HR Management in supporting operations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, recruiting, training, onboarding, policy implementation, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:
• Provides employee relations and investigation expertise, case management, training, and consultation; assists in investigations and provides recommendations for team members and leadership.
• Administers company policies pertaining to employee relations matters; maintains relevant knowledge of employee relations, best practices and works to help drive the Company’s Leadership Principles.
• Assists the Director of Employee Relations and VP of Human Resources to ensure operational effectiveness and exceptional customer service. This will include working on employee handbook; assisting in investigations of employee matters; and training for the locations on HR and ER subjects.
• Support the HR department in implementing programs to help improve the employee experience.
• Partners with employees and management to administer and communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
• Identify HR-related opportunities for improvements – both policy and procedure – and recommend and implement potential solutions.
• Files EEO-1 report annually; and maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• In coordination with VP of HR and Recruiting function, work with managers to develop and maintain job descriptions.
• Assist Recruiting function with ads, scheduling candidates, screening candidates, and ideas for plant locations to find potential candidates.
• Assist Recruiting function in sourcing passive candidates.
• Assist Recruiting function in the development and execution of both internal and external recruitment marketing campaigns.
• Work with hiring managers on Background Checks, Random Drug Testing and New Employee On-Boarding.
• Works with candidates following offer letter acceptance on background check and drug screens and conducts new employee on-boarding.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; and developing and organizing information.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Assist HR Systems Manager in creating and maintaining employee files and records in electronic form.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Will work closely with HR team in supporting operations.
• Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
• Ability to travel to locations for investigations or to deliver training.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Highest degree of integrity in all matters related to business and people.
• Additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
• HR Related Training and familiarity with the Society of Human Resources Management.
• College Degree preferred, and High School graduate required.
• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions.
• Hands on experience on development and implementation of HR policies; procedures; and programs.

REQUIRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.):
• Demonstrated success at a plant or operational level in an organization as well as a division or corporate level.
• Experience with recruiting practices and on-boarding for new employees.
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
• Experience with HCM Systems – Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
