Position Purpose
The Shell USA downstream data privacy team is looking for a Data Privacy Lead which will work collaborate closely with the Chief Privacy Office legal team and Data Privacy focal points across the Downstream and New Energies businesses and functions to ensure compliance with the Group’s Data Privacy manual. This role will institutionalize Data Privacy’s best practice in a fit-for-purpose manner throughout the organization and the support functions, ensuring appropriate engagement, tools and training is in place such that full value can be extracted from sales and marketing activities, with risks appropriately assessed and mitigated.
Accountabilities:
Develop a strong network throughout the Downstream and Renewables & Energy Solutions businesses
Support functions and the legal and compliance teams
Developing innovative solutions to innovative problems, in full cooperation with legal, business and functional experts
Responsible for a number of business and functional areas with specific focus on Mobility and US initiatives, acquisitions / divestitures and Non IT BCR compliance
Maintain a focal point network, running Data Privacy health checks, identifying data privacy risk, managing risk exposure, and ensuring the most common issues and opportunities are properly addressed
Requirements
Must have legal authorization to work in USA on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Minimum 5 years of related work experience
Candidate must hold a Data Privacy professional qualification (IAPP CIPP/US, or equivalent) with 1+ years’ of multinational and/or GDPR experience, customer data privacy, ideally including both B2C and B2B channels
Specialized in related function such as Customer Operations, Legal/SECO, Contracting & Procurement would be ideal
The base salary range for this position is $146,000.00 - $218,000.00 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents. Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
