PEOPLE & CULTURE BENEFITS PROGRAM MANAGER

Rocket Lab’s People & Culture department is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Program Manager at our Headquarters in Long Beach, CA to play a critical role in developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive benefits programs that attract, retain, and motivate our talented workforce. You will be responsible for ensuring that our benefits offerings are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with our strategic goals. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of benefits administration.

WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO: The role’s responsibilities

Program Development and Management

    • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee benefits.
    • Align benefits programs with Rocket Lab's strategic goals and ensure they meet legal requirements and industry standards.
    • Conduct regular market research and benchmarking to ensure the competitiveness of our benefits offerings.
    • Monitor expenditures and make recommendations for cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of benefits provided.

Vendor Management

    • Manage relationships with benefits vendors and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery.
    • Evaluate and select vendors for various benefits programs based on company needs and employee preferences.

Employee Communication & Support

    • Develop and execute communication strategies to educate employees about benefit programs, changes, and available resources.
    • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding their benefits, resolving any issues, and addressing their concerns promptly and effectively.

Policy Compliance & Reporting

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local benefits regulations and reporting requirements.
    • Prepare and submit necessary reports to regulatory bodies and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of benefits programs.
    • Lead and manage special projects and initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
    • Complete other assigned duties as requested.

YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in benefits administration and program management, preferably in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong understanding of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the abili
