Basic Job Functions:

The Inside Sales Representative works in a team environment to professionally represent the Nucor Steel Plate Group with team members and customers on a daily basis. This team member must handle all calls and requests for information in a professional manner while working accurately and timely. Other responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with customers and team members across the Nucor Plate Group to sell and service customers.
• Provide appropriate pricing and availability to customers on inquires.
• Provide timely status updates to customers.
• Enter customer orders timely and accurately with attention to details. 
• Some travel will be required for customer visits, customer dinners, and industry functions.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Four-year degree or four years related work experience in service and sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of the steel plate market
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Knowledge of Oracle EBS 
• High level of proficiency using Microsoft Tools
• Willingness to travel
