DNV Business Assurance is seeking a Capacity Manger. The Capacity Manager ensures that the Certification Body has adequate auditor resources, technical competencies, and operational capacity to deliver certification services effectively and in compliance with accreditation requirements. This role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and performance monitoring to maintain service quality and meet client expectations.
This role is remote based in the United States.
What You’ll Do
1. Capacity Planning & Resource Management
- Develop and maintain a robust capacity plan for auditor resources across all certification schemes (MSC, ICT, Food & Beverage, Aerospace and Automotive).
- Forecast workload based on historical trends, client demand, and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and qualification approvals for auditors and subcontractors.
- Optimize utilization of Auditors in Training (AIT), full-time employees and subcontract auditors to meet delivery targets.
2. Competence & Compliance Oversight
- Ensure auditors meet competence requirements as per ISO/IEC 17021 and scheme-specific standards.
- Support accreditation body audits and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Staffing Specialist, Technical Managers, and Competency Coordinator to align training and approval processes.
3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Implement KPIs and scorecards to monitor auditor performance and capacity utilization.
- Provide systematic feedback to leadership on resource efficiency.
- Prepare regular capacity reports and present findings to senior management.
4. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Technical Managers to align capacity planning with business objectives.
- Communicate certification requirements and resource strategies effectively to internal teams and external partners.

DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. The actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 USD.

What is Required
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least Five (5) years of experience in Resource Management or capacity planning within a Certification Body or similar environment.
- Familiarity with ISO standards and accreditation processes.
- Strong analytical and forecasting abilities.
- Ethical and impartial in decision-making.
- Collaborative and adaptable to change.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
