COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The salary range(s) represents our good faith estimate for the role at this time. While we strive to provide competitive and transparent compensation, there may be circumstances where an offer is above or outside of the listed range. We are open to discussing salary expectations with qualified candidates considering factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location will all be considered during the hiring process.

  • Senior Settlement Analyst: $85,800.00 - $109,450.00
  • Settlement Analyst III: $76,000.00 - $96,900.00
  • Settlement Analyst II: $68,600.00 - $85,750.00
  • Settlement Analyst I: $55,800.00 - $68,350.00

SPP Market Settlements Team

As part of our commitment to the growth and modernization of energy markets, our Market Settlement's team plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of market and transmission settlement functions. We are looking for a Settlements Analyst who will support the testing of new settlement products or enhancements, assist in the development and implementation of settlement processes, and work collaboratively to improve our settlement systems.

Overview: 

We are looking for a Settlements Analyst to support the testing of new settlement products or enhancements and assist in developing and implementing procedures to support the market or transmission settlement process. This role is key to ensuring the effectiveness of testing processes, driving efficiency improvements, and resolving issues through strong problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate will have several years of experience with the SDLC process in software testing, a strong ability to analyze and solve complex problems, and effective documentation skills. Experience with AI tools to improve testing efficiency is a plus. The Settlements Analyst will assist in the development, enhancement, and support of market and transmission settlement functions, including revenue collection, distribution, reconciliation, and ongoing analysis.

This position will also involve supporting the Supervisor of Settlements, Manager of Settlements, Director of Settlements, and other SPP subcommittees and working groups. Collaboration with various stakeholders is essential to ensure the success of the settlement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in testing new settlement products or system enhancements, ensuring smooth and accurate implementation.

  • Support the development and enhancement of procedures required for market and transmission settlement processes, including revenue collection, distribution, and reconciliation.

  • Collaborate with the Supervisor of Settlements, Manager of Settlements, Director of Settlements, and other key stakeholders to improve and modernize settlement processes.

  • Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during the testing and implementation phases.

  • Create test cases, conduct testing, and document results to ensure accuracy and functionality of new features and updates.

  • Contribute to functional design development for software releases related to market settlements.

  • Assist in the analysis and reconciliation of market and transmission settlement data to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
