About the role

We are looking for a talented Quality Technician – Level II to join our team specializing in Quality for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC.

Job Summary:

Assists Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; maintains and supports documentation and records. Works under moderate supervision.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

•  Ensure product quality and reliability by accurately comparing physical and functional characteristics of components and materials against technical specifications. 
•  Strengthen defect identification processes by detecting nonconformities early and documenting findings with precision. 
•  Improve product validation efforts by conducting simple electrical, reliability, and packaging tests that support informed engineering decisions. 
•  Deliver clear, actionable insights through well organized test records and simple technical reports that support cross functional teams. 
•  Enhance testing accuracy by using a variety of measurement tools and equipment to validate product and component performance. 
•  Support customers and internal partners by helping them understand product specifications, measurement data, and how results impact product applications. 
•  Contribute to continuous improvement of measurement practices by participating in measurement uncertainty studies that refine calibration and testing reliability. 
•  Maintain testing integrity by ensuring proper upkeep, calibration, and readiness of all measurement and test equipment.

•  Build strong partnerships with engineers, technicians, customers, and cross functional teams to achieve shared quality and measurement objectives. 
•  Communicate clearly—both verbally and in writing—by tailoring technical information and test results to the needs of different audiences. 
•  Demonstrate a strong customer focus by understanding user requirements and delivering accurate, customer centric testing and measurement solutions. 
•  Make sound, timely decisions during testing, analysis, and equipment management to support workflow continuity and product quality. 
•  Manage conflict constructively by addressing issues early and maintaining a professional, solutions oriented environment within the laboratory and with external partners. 
•  Use strong resourcefulness to secure the right tools, data, and support needed to execute testing, calibration, and measurement tasks efficiently. 
•  Apply strong measurement science, quality process management, and laboratory management skills to ensure accurate measurements, compliant laboratory operations, and adherence to relevant certifications and accreditations.

Education, Licenses, Certifications: 
•  High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. 
•  This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. 

Experience: 
•  Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience.






•    Calibrations - Calibrations of DC tools and gauges. 
•    QMS - Perform process and product audits and other assigned tasks in adherence to Quality management system. 
•    Training - Training Operators on standard process, using gauges, product safety and etc. 
•    Inspection - Reviewing dawning's and performing inspection using necessary tools and gauges. Supporting with customer and supplier containment activities. 
•    QA hold area - Daily management of QA hold area to maintain COPQ and timely dispositioning of materials in QA hold area by working with cross functional team. 
•    Other responsibilities as assigned by QE and QM.
