Duties: Manage business unit quality teams to ensure quality of deliverables from site. Cascade and implement sit objectives within the Quality organization, and implement quality policy and tools at site level. Ensure consistency of QCD objectives and the contractual/regulatory obligations applicable to projects. Drive continuous improvement plans to analyze and reduce the CONQ, NCR, Safety Issues and Demerit (Internal defects). Responsible for Quality and Safety assessment of the products and services delivered, according to contractual quality requirements. Deploy standard tools and indicators and contribute to their improvement. Ensure correct updates are made to Quality (QMS) Reference Documents, using REX Process. Lead, manage, and develop quality teams using APSYS. Ensure process governance, and risk and opportunity management. Evaluate quality performance for processes via internal audits.

 

Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Railway Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.

 

Position requires experience with:

 

1. Managing a cross-functional engineering team within a large railway industry organization;

2. Quality standards during product/process development;

3. Supplier quality assurance and certification, and developing supplier performance metrics;

4. Problem solving methodologies including 8D, PDCA, and QRQC; and

5. Reliability monitoring and availability performance of a train fleet, including developing key performance indicators.

 

25% domestic travel required.
