We are looking for an

IT PRODUCT OWNER – OPERATIONS APPLICATIONS – OPERATION CONTROL CENTER APPLICATIONS

We are offering an exciting opportunity to onboard your skills and competencies to work with Operations Control Center Applications within Finnair Operations Applications team. In this role, you act as a IT Product Owner and are responsible for managing the IT development and maintenance of Operation Control Center applications.  

We are responsible to maintain and enhance several OCC applications, in which the most critical applications are Lufthansa Systems OPS++ and Finnair own Polaris integration hub . There are currently several digitalization initiatives in operations area and your role is to coordinate those together with the business, ensuring successful implementations followed by Finnair´s standards.

This position is located at the Finnair head office in Vantaa.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Skilled IT professionals with experience in managing and maintaining operation critical IT systems

  • Team players who can work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility of the service level of the products, support, maintenance, regulatory requirements, and compliance processes as well as budgeting 

  • Facilitate planning, projects, maintenance, and internal development team meetings. Managing backlog prioritization in cooperation with IT and the business stakeholders 

  • Participating in external partner development meetings, ensuring that business and other benefits are well utilized  

  • Diagnose, test, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCC Applications  

  • Advise users on appropriate actions based on issues described. You will have responsibility for the documentation and instructions of the applications within your own area of expertise 

  • Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention and, when required, redirect problems to the appropriate resource and vendors 

  • Participate in projects of your own areas of service and applications. Evaluate new functionalities of applications or IT services and deploy approved features 

In this role you are expected to successfully cooperate with stakeholders from different levels and functions, and therefore, we expect you to have strong cooperation skills and ability to contribute to both technical and business discussion and decision making.    

  

Our expectations:

  • Experience in IT Product Management – preferably from Product Owner, Product Manager or Product Expert role    

  • Knowledge of OCC used applications is considered an advantage   

  • Experience of working in an agile environment

  • Experience in working with critical operative applications   

  • Good skills in working with others 

  • Excellent written and spoken English and Finnish  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge
