Senior Digital Validation Engineer

Perform semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm software products and devices in conjunction with hardware product development for the electronic communications industry. Build mobile payments and security solutions for smart phones, watches and laptops. Work with team members in San Diego, Germany, and France spanning multiple domains such as analog, digital, validation and RF; responsible for the digital IC validation of the SoC product line; gain experience in ARM based SoC architecture, as well as low level code development, lab hands-on experience, and automation development. Deep dive into block level pecification or system use case and define test plan. Review with stake holders (design lead and system team); implement test plan, in C, and verify on pre-silicon platforms such as FPGA. Test execution, and debugging through the silicon validation campaign (evaluations and characterization).
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Computer Engineering, foreign equivalent or closely related field.

Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or similar occupation (all levels accepted) such as Senior Software Engineer, Technical Consultant – Embedded Systems, or closely related.
Required skills:
Position requires five (5) years of experience in:
- Programming language: C, Java, Python;
- Debugging, including evaluations and characterization;
- FPGA;
- Board design (Schematic + Layout);
- Designing ASIC validation strategies;
- Automate Validation Test cases; and
- Validation tools and equipment like Oscilloscope, power SMUs, or power meters.
Annual Salary: $166,941
The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
