Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

Walmart is seeking a talented individual to join the Strategic Partnerships team to develop our strategy, and business development activities with strategic partners like Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta and others. For this role, we are seeking a candidate with strong leadership potential, an ability to work across internal and external stakeholders and drive strategy formation and programmatic management, own executive presentation development and grow relationships with a key alliance partners.

You will be responsible for establishing strong relationship with our partners and understanding their products and capabilities. You will then help identify the right potential partnership areas to address Walmart’s strategic objectives with the help of partner capabilities. As part of the corporate strategic partnerships team, you will be part of a high-performance organization that works alongside corporate strategy and corporate development to improve and invent new ways to serve hundreds of millions of consumers that shop for their everyday needs from fresh food, household essentials, pharmacy and wellness, and more.

To be successful in this role, you must be an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), highly motivated, equal parts left and right brain, effective working across multiple, cross-functional teams, and able to get things done quickly. The ability to synthesize multiple sources of information across consumer product, business & technology and translate them effectively into short, medium, & long-term roadmaps via analysis & prioritization is a must.

In this role, you will:

• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, listening and presentation skills, as well as crisp oral and written communications
• Be directly responsible for managing Walmart’s most significant alliances and in some cases work closely with the Director or Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships on enterprise-wide alliances
• Be able to create an effective narrative, outline strategic tradeoffs, and drive executive decision-making
• Collaborate and drive internal & external stakeholders to consensus across strategy, engineering, reporting, finance, business development, and partnerships
• Navigate complex business & technology relationships
• Effectively present and influence senior executives across technology, media, telecom & CPG

To be effective, you ideally have the following domain experience:

• Work independently with partners and internal stake holders.
• Work through ambiguity and help drive clarity in decision making
• Examine business needs, astutely identify trends and insights to link ideas or events to influence business decisions
• Sustain and develop mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external business partners that represent quantifiable growth opportunities for the business and solve business problems or new service offering requirements
• Close business development deals with partners (suppliers, vendors, internal and external stakeholders, clients) that generate positive business outcomes and leverage partnership strengths and capabilities for the business
• Prepare senior leaders for negotiation by creating factual, rational, and compelling data-based insights/arguments that help negotiate the best possible results & drives win-win outcomes for Walmart and Partners
• Ensure negotiations adhere to company and regulatory processes, values, and policies
