Job Description

Universal Studios Hollywood is dedicated to delivering our guests fun, unique, and unforgettable experiences. The Assistant Manager of the Retail Warehouse is a key player in achieving this by ensuring that all retail merchandise flows smoothly, efficiently, and accurately from the Warehouse to retail venues, fully stocked and ready to enhance our guests’ experience. This position oversees various Retail Warehouse operations and collaborates with other departments to meet business objectives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain SOPs across all warehouse departments, including freight coordination, receiving, equipment management, pulling, shipping, night operations, and all supplemental work processes.
• Ensure that all processes and procedures comply with company policies, B-192 union agreements, and legal regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels and control systems to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies through process review and reconciliation.
• Regularly inspect and maintain warehouse equipment and the facility. Communicate repair needs and requisitions for equipment replacement to the appropriate teams.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and merchandise by enforcing Loss Prevention protocols and procedures to maintain inventory accuracy and exceed shrinkage reduction goals.
• Foster a safety culture through proactive communication, training, regular audits, and close partnership with the Health and Safety team. Ensure all accident investigations and safety concerns are thoroughly addressed and completed on time.
• Support the preparation and management of the annual budget. Monitor weekly schedules, supplies expenses, and time punch variances. Address any discrepancies through effective communication and corrective action.
• Set productivity targets across all departments, ensure they are met, and provide ongoing training. Regularly monitor performance, communicate results to the team, and follow up to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Drive team member satisfaction by fostering open communication through daily pre-shift meetings, recognition programs, monthly team-building events, quarterly awards, and regular departmental updates.
• Communicate clearly and consistently with internal management, Orlando support teams, and other Universal Studios Hollywood departments.
