THE JOB:

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar.  In this role you will work at various bars around the property and will be expected to perform all responsibilities at each location. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.  By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING RATE:  $17.2843 / Per Hour + Tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Make and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including, cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar
• Assist with delivering product to ball rooms, setting up and breaking down bar
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings, including liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections, to facilitate informed guest recommendations and enhance the overall experience
• Efficiently handle beverage transactions, including ringing up orders, processing payments, and adhering to cash handling protocols, while accurately maintaining daily reports and paperwork
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Apprentice Bartenders and Bar Porters, imparting expertise on bar operations, guest service principles, and bartending techniques
• Monitor and manage bar inventory levels in accordance with established guidelines and internal controls, proactively replenishing stock as needed to meet demand
• Address guest complaints promptly and effectively within the scope of authority, escalating issues as necessary to management or security, and promptly reporting any unusual events, discrepancies, or incidents

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Union required Pour Card issued from the State of Nevada
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain both a Food Handlers card and Alcohol Awareness card
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Two (2) years of experience in a bar or a similar high-volume, fast paced environment
• Two (2) years of guest service experience in a similar luxury resort setting, preferably fine dining
• Proficient knowledge in mixing and serving beverages, standard beverage recipes, preparation methods, glassware, garnishes, products, supplies and equipment
• Knowledgeable of wine and champagne characteristics by the glass, major wines, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
• Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
